Elizabeth Bullard, MD, is the founder and medical director of Carolina Wellness Psychiatry, PLLC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She specializes in treating college students to older adults with a focus on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and cognitive disorders.
Prior to opening Carolina Wellness Psychiatry, Dr. Bullard served as medical director of two adult psychiatric inpatient units at the University of North Carolina Hospital System. She was the first medical director of the acclaimed UNC Perinatal Psychiatry Inpatient program. Dr. Bullard served as chief resident during her psychiatry residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center after completing medical school at Texas Tech School of Medicine.
Dr. Bullard bases her treatment philosophy on a whole-person approach, considering both biological and psychological factors to promote overall wellness. She has specialized expertise in women’s mental health and perinatal psychiatry, treating mood disorders during adolescence, pre-conception planning and pregnancy, and through menopause.
